The 12X DVD-ROM is the next generation of DVD-ROM for Compaq ProLiant Servers. It is offered with an industry-standard ATAPI interface and supported on Windows NT/2000, Netware, and SCO Unix. A DVD-ROM drive is designed to read not only DVD-ROM discs but also CD-ROM/R and 2.6 Gbyte DVD-RAM discs. It has a speed of 12X with DVD and 40X when used with CD-ROM/Rs.
